I took these two photos today out of fun, uncertain of what photo topic I would post on tonight. Ann had sat down on the couch this evening, a little tired, looked over at where Lumpy was, reached out her hand and whined for him. So, I plunked Lumpy down beside her and promptly saw her head on his shoulder. Then she laughed at me.
After putting her to bed I was browsing Facebook when I saw a reminder that the person I named Ann after passed away 14 years ago today. It just kind of hit me, hard. And I can't believe it has been that long. I know, in my heart that she is with Ann in every way, and that Ann knows her, but I still miss her so much more than I even know how to say. Which is true for everyone that loves her.
Your still close to all of our hearts Ann. Thank you for watching over us now.

I should mention, for those that don't know, that Ann loved elephants. That's why my daughter sitting with Lumpy holds special meaning, because that's the animal that whenever I (and most of us close to her) see we think about my Ann being hugged and watched over by Ann.
