Has it really only been one week...

Wow, it seems like there's been a lot going on. And yet, so little. First and foremost though. Since I'm already going to be hurt for other pictures, I'll post these two as well.

Happy 29th anniversary to my parents:

Who would have thought that you would have such a large family!

So then, we had the rest of the visit with my Mom, Aunt Peggy, and Grandma. There was some shopping, and an outing to the beach (with Fredrick!). These are not all of the pictures either in case you're wondering. For those on Facebook, head there and you'll be able to see more from our beach trip...

Chad was amused by some kites here. (Yes, he's going to fuss at me for putting this up)

Gotta love the wind on the coast:
Alas, sometimes Chad and Fredrick can be as bad as Chad and Daniel together:
They were really enjoying themselves.

As did we:

And the last one I'll include just for fun (you can get me back later Aunt Peggy but only if you don't want me to post a tutorial about how to do an edging on your scarf!)

After shopping and other excursions my Aunt fell asleep on the couch with her Tunisian Crochet project in hand.
We did have a lot of fun and I'm excited to here my Grandmother talk about wanting to do it again.

So then we have just general everyday stuff. Chad and I are gearing up to make plans for holidays and making decisions about projects we want to do with the house and such...

I have now received my holiday schedule. So that means I'm able to plan my life through mid January.... yea, you try figuring out what you're wanting to do everyday that far in advance as well. The schedule runs over 12 weeks and we've been trying to put in our requests for days for three or four weeks. It's crazy! We do self scheduling on the unit with two people then going and fixing up everything. It means that you put down your requests for the days that you would like to work as a guideline for those two people. I do not envy them in the least bit. Trying to make 160 nurses happy... not for me.

I know that this year I'll be off for Thanksgiving, working Christmas and New Years. It's what I requested so it's pretty decent.

I will also have a karate test, a wedding to attend, and a few other things in there... Such as making my Christmas list and starting immediately on it!

Knitting wise, for my knit-a-long, that I intend on revitalizing I'm just trying to figure out what would be the best way to. I scrapped the original sweater plan and have picked up a UFO that I need to put a collar and sleeves on.

Here it is:
It should take me long as I don't like full length sleeves so I'll keep them short.

And lastly, Fredrick and I are also working on Convertible again. You never saw the finished as I got upset with it just after cast off (I thought I had left too many mistakes in the work) and frogged the whole thing.

See new crocheters, I never have anything to show because I frog it all. There are a few mistakes in this one as well, but I'm determined to leave it be and no one will notice but me. Go ahead an look and tell me if you can find them. I can see a few from here.

And as you can tell, Fredrick's very much looking forward to me finishing it and blocking (as much as acrylic blocks anyway) so he can use it in the cool mornings. It's halfway finished now.

Other than that, we are planning to head to NC this week for SAFF where I plan to take a spindling class with Dawn (Chad's stepmother). Yes, that means yet another fiber obsession for me to partake in.

So, I hope everyone has fun. I'll try to post another tutorial and update before I leave, but with my crazy work schedule (I have three shifts and then meetings before we go) I'm not promising anything. If I'm not able to, then it will be after we return. I know it won't be Sunday though. I'll be delayed by a day or two.

Also, don't be surprised if within the next month the layout here changes so that archives and posts (especially the tutorials I'm working on) are more easily accessible.

You all take care and we'll talk to you later!
