Chad and I are getting out and walking more. South Carolina weather sure helps that... it's been in the 70's. And we are preparing to have family on Christmas.
Other than that not too much is going on. I attended my awards ceremony for my blue belt in Wadu Ryu Karate and finally remembered to bring the camera and hand it off to someone for pictures! I know some of you have seen these on myspace and facebook but, here there's a little more explanation.
Cecelia, our secretary at the North Charleston Dojo was wonderful enough to take all the pictures for me. She did a wonderful job!
We do some waiting around and preparing by placing people in line to be called up for their belts. Here Sensei Dru is photographing her North Charleston people who are clumped together:
After we all get our belts, we tie them on together. Don't look for me in this picture though as you will not find me. I was called away to use my nursing skills in the hallway for a family. Everything turned out just fine with that:
If we have any black belts they are presented next. This time there were three and this is the special ceremony where the Sensei ties the black belt onto the student. My style only does this twice, when you get your white belt then again at black:
Here I am with Sensei Todd, the head of my dojo:
And there you have it. One day I hope to get pictures of an actual class, but that maybe awhile so... at least you now see what some of the past year has involved.
Later all!

The Barnhardts thank you for the Christmas card. Good to hear from you and glad that you are doing well. Look at www.sadlonelycreator.blogspot.com and see what the daughter is up to.
Thank you so much for sending me this. I really appreciate it.
We don't hear much from the daughter, she is very busy. Her blogspot is great. She is very talented with yarns. It just amazes me how easily she picks up new stitches and patterns. Merry Christmas!
I got your card and I really appreciate it. I still have never heard from her since October of 2005. At least now I can see that she's doing okay.
Merry Christmas to you all as well! Hope to see you soon and I'll have a new post on Sunday.
